All games at Balcones will follow Little League rules and regulations and each team will be provided with a Little League rule book. Here are the highlights of some key rules and regulations:
Regulation IV (i): Every rostered player present at the start of a game will participate in each game for a minimum of 6 defensive outs and bat at least one time
Regulation VI (b): A pitcher once removed from the mound cannot return as a pitcher
Regulation VI (c): The manager must remove the pitcher when said pitcher reaches the limit for his/her age group as noted below, but the pitcher may remain in the game at another position.
League Age:
13-16 95 pitches per day
11-12 85 pitches per day
9-10 75 pitches per day
7-8 50 pitches per day
Regulation VI (d): Pitchers league age 14 and under must adhere to the following rest requirements:
If a pitcher pitches 66 or more pitches in a day, four calendar days of rest must be observed
If a pitcher pitches 51-65 pitches in a day, three calendar days of rest must be observed
If a pitcher pitches 36-50 pitches in a day, two calendar days of rest must be observed
If a pitcher pitches 21-35 pitches in a day, one calendar day of rest must be observed
If a pitcher pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no calendar day of rest is required
Regulation XIV (d): A manager or coach shall not leave the bench or dugout except to confer with a player or an umpire and only after receiving permission from an umpire. (Exception: in Minor League and Tee Ball, managers and coaches may be on the field for instructional purposes.....)
Regulation XIV (c): The possession of firearms and/or use of tobacco, cigarettes, and alcoholic beverages in any form is prohibited on the playing field, benches, or dugout. Alcohol is prohibited at the game site.
Regulation XIV (f): Managers and coaches shall not warm up pitchers
