Balcones Thunderbirds is a select baseball program started at BYS in 2017. Thunderbirds players are advanced players looking for intense travel baseball experience. Teams are composed of players from the greater Austin area. Balcones Thunderbird teams play in USSSA, PONY and other competitive weekend tournaments around central Texas. There is typically one Thunderbird team for each age 8U-14U. Depending on the age division, the team may play at the AA, AAA, or Major competition level.
